The problem seems to be that ERT is not found (shouldn't it be?) and that some of the tests depend on this in order to compile. Maybe we forgot to add code in dune-cornerpoint to disable tests if ERT is not found? Will look into that.

My first thought was #319 but that one isn't committed yet. Committed in opm-core yesterday was #314 and #318, and neither of these should cause that. dune-cornerpoint didn't see any commits yesterday, and OPM/opm-grid#43 from the day before should be completely harmless anyway.

Hm. Unable to reproduce this; both opm-core:master and dune-cornerpoint:master builds and tests without ERT. Maybe there is something RHEL5-specific going on here?

Possibly. I don't know. There may, however, be another cause of the problem. I just encountered Ensembles/ert#150 which does, at least, touch the ERT part and was installed just moments ago. This is just pure speculation, though, and the timing doesn't really appear to support the assertion. The build failed, according to Jenkins, at roughly 2013-08-15T08:45+0200 while PR Ensembles/ert#145 was merged around 20132-08-15T09:00+0200.

But that "just" breaks the ERT build (which clearly from the log has happened). Unless... opm-core was built with a working ERT, inserting linker records to the library, then the ERT build broken, and finally dune-cornerpoint ends up with a linker problem.

@laods @alfbr
What is the build sequence between the modules? Is the above scenario plausible?

Like I said, it's pure speculation and doesn't seem likely. I mentioned it only on the off chance that it might be related.

It seems we are linking against nightly builds of ert, so I guess this one belongs to Joakim.

I should note, it only breaks for RH5, on RH6 it builds fine.

Oh joy! But: Does ERT also break on RHEL5 only and builds fine on RHEL6?

The issue was apparently caused by a local configuration setting. I'll close, but please reopen if the issue resurfaces.
