Ok so nothing to do with stdout. In the daemonset that deploys the driver to all the nodes instead of sleeping simply tail the log file. This will then be accessable from kubectl logs

Due to the kubelet shelling out to the driver this isn't a case of simply logging to stdout. You'd have to add a sidecar container to scrape the logs off the filesystem / for the driver to write to AFAIK.
