Update: we're not going to consider this officially supported, but the next version will likely run on 4th and 5th gen Intel CPUs.

This appears to be the same crash that I'm experiencing on Monterey. I thought that it was due to the OS version, but this issue also appearing on Sonoma apparently discards that possibility.

Intel CPUs older than Skylake are no longer supported. CPU model check added for the next version.
