I'm wondering...since I'm planning to port hunch/restas over to cl-async at some point, maybe the entire libevent http implementation can just go away? If there's drakma-async and an evented version of restas, a mid-level implementation of HTTP through libevent might not even be worth the trouble of maintaining...or maybe I can just finish off what little features they support and then do bugfixes only from then on. That way, if people WANT to build their own HTTP server on top of libevent's, we won't stop them, but it's also recommended to use restas-async or something similar.

I think chunked response should be easy enough to support. Might as well throw it in and be done with it.

Nope, deprecated HTTP. Time is better spent building an async HTTP server on top of TCP than wrestling with libevent's implementation.
