getTileItemByX() returns about forgottenserver HOT 2 CLOSED

Userdata objects (metatables) refer to real objects in the engine. If you provide a unique id that doesn't exist to the Item userdata constructor, it will return nil. This would be the correct way to do it (if you really want to construct the Item before even checking .uid in getTileItemById):

local pc_moneyOnMiddle = Item(getTileItemById(middleTable, 2152).uid)
if pc_moneyOnMiddle ~= nil then
   -- platinum coin found
else
   -- platinum coin not found
end

This way is better:

local tileItem = getTileItemById(middleTable, 2152).uid
if tileItem ~= 0 then
   -- platinum coin found
   local pc_moneyOnMiddle = Item(tileItem)
else
   -- platinum coin not found
end
