@taylor13 this is to avoid issues like historical run being ran through 2020
from cmor.
probably will require on update on tables
from cmor.
So now that I have access to the interwebs again.. In CMIP5 historical "standard" time was 1850-2005 (inclusive), the outliers were:
CanCM4 - 1961-2005
CESM-WACCM - 1955-2005
CSIRO-Mk3L-1-2 - 1851-2005
EC-EARTH - 1850/1950-2008/2012
FGOALS - 1850/1900-2006/2009
GFDL-CM2p1 - 1861-2040
GFDL-CM3 - 1860-2004/2005
GFDL-ESM2G/M - 1861-2005
GISS-E2-H-CC - 1850-2010
GISS-E2-R - 1851-2005
GISS-E2-R-CC - 1850-2010
HadCM3 - 1860-2005
HadGEM2-AO - 1860-2005
HadGEM2-CC - 1860/1960-2005
HadGEM2-ES - 1860-2004/2005
MIROC4h - 1950-2005
MIROC5 - 1850-2012

This will be ensured with the Control Vocabulary. Values for sub_experiment_id will be controlled to be from s1960 to s2020. That range will be valid for all model. Is this what you want? @doutriaux1 @taylor13
from cmor.
No, this will only ensure that groups don't perform any DCPP experiments (a subset of the CMIP6 set of experiments) that are initialized outside the range 1960 - 2020. It will be difficult to enforce start and end times for most experiments.

@durack1 I don't think this is necessary. Can you close this issue?
from cmor.
@dnadeau4 yes following the comments above I think this issue is no longer relevant. @taylor13 can chirp in if it needs to be reopened
