For what it's worth, I reverted to the previous version of the plugin and got this message in the console instead of a crash (which seems like a waaaaayyyyy better way for the app to react, even if it is still a bug):

Please include the last couple hundred lines of logcat output and describe the operation that caused this. Explanation: resolveConnectionResult should only be called when connecting. Proceeding anyway.Operation: resolveConnectionResult. State: DISCONNECTED. Expected state: CONNECTING.
