As to ZIP files, I suspect you'll get the correct folder permissions if you download the GZ/TAR version instead. Try it, if not I'll do some more investigation ...

Ahh, GET it! Yes, we don't have GZ/TAR support in the core, and I am 99% certain of that ZIP doesn't allow for providing file permissions, so it'll end up downloading "in the context of your user" or something on Linux. I don't think this is a problem we can (easily) fix ... :/

Unless you want to have a go at it ofc ...

I'll close this one, as a "no go" unless you've got a suggestion to a solution ...

No JZip here. It's deeply hidden with magic.lambda.io project. I can't remember which lib we're using. We used to use CSharpZip I think, but swapped because of weird Window incompatibilities (windows doesn't support the ZIP standard ...)
