Hi @jgraycar, you're right, ideally the paper-toast should be display: flex and #label should be the flexible child...PRs welcome :)

Alternatively, you could just avoid setting the text property and use the toast like this:

<paper-toast>
   <div>
     <span>my text</span>
     <paper-button>click</paper-button>
   </div>
</paper-toast>

and style the <div> as you like
