INSERTS within function body fail to commit if function fails about plr HOT 5 CLOSED

This is pretty much by design. There is an implied transaction even for select foo(). That gets rolled back on error.

I don't like to ask for help on issue threads, but I can't find an alternate place to ask questions: Is there a typical way to log and capture progress messages of a single PL/R function call, returning all of the messages generated up to the point of failure?
