Discussion: Docker Image to use about deployment HOT 4 OPEN

Update: I triggered a manual build to make the latest-release image now for 1.19.0 and will change it back to an automatic rule after that's build. We should then check after the 1.20.0 release that this docker tag is properly updated.

I now think we should create a posthog:latest-release image together with tags with specific versions posthog:release-1.19.0

This way we can default to that in kubernetes/cf deployments.

I added this to the docker automated builds list:

I hope that when the next version tag is created, a latest-release image will be created as well.

If not, manually creating such a tag should be as easy as just running:

docker tag release-1.20.0 posthog/posthog:latest-release

... and adding that to the release checklist.

The 1.19.0 latest-release image has been build and I re-enabled the automatic building (assuming it works). @yakkomajuri next time you push out a new release, can you verify that the latest-release docker image is also updated automatically?
