It's not so much to give credit, but as a historical paper trail for where did this man page come from. ronn also adds the same message. I will consider support an :author to add below the Generated by message.

Another developer points out that by adding a Generated by message to the output of kramdown-manpage, that I would get the blame and bug reports.

I should also note that .\" is a comment tag, and can only be read if a user cats the man page or opens it in a text editor.
