plugin-ruby does not support tab indentation about plugin-ruby HOT 4 CLOSED

It's worth noting that prettier correctly formats my JS files according to the rules in .editorconfig.

Maybe it just hates tabs?

I've added "useTabs": true to my .prettierrc.json and now my JS files are still being formatted with tabs and my Ruby files are not.

More tests, calling the API directly with the plugin and useTabs still gives me spaces. I was going to write some unit tests to check in for this problem, but it seems the whole test intentionally ignores leading whitespace!

Yes, we explicitly do not support the useTabs option. This is one of the few things the Ruby community appears to have settled on, so syntax tree doesn't support it. You can check out the options we do support in the README.
