Not working on Safari iOS about octicons HOT 12 CLOSED

Do any font icons work? For example, http://fontello.com/ or http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/

From what I can tell this and iOS8 bug and not something to be fixed in Octicons. Since iOS is still beta, I'm going to close this for now. Feel free to reopen if it really is an Octicons issue.

Other fonts (socicon, font awesome) are working fine, only octicons is not working.

Yes, this is probably a bug on iOS 8, but I can't test on iOS 7.

I tried debugging using safari dev tools but I didn't find any pertinent informations.

Couldn't hurt, though if other icon sets are working, that means there's at least something on our end that can change, though I don't know what exactly that is yet.

@SamyPesse I believe a few more iOS8 updates have come out since this. Is this issue still a thing?

🤘 I'm still curious what the source was, though it's less pressing now. If other fonts were working, octicons is definitely lacking something.

This issue is hard to debug, I tried with the safari debugger last month but I didn't get any informations about the source.

I'm fairly sure it's something inherent to the ttf file, which wouldn't appear in the debugger. Fonts are a treasure trove of things that could be broken without information >.<
