Controller keeps rumbling if opponent quits during KO animation about slippi-ssbm-asm HOT 5 CLOSED

Note that I'm playing on the linux client in case that is relevant (seems like it shouldn't be) Dolphin says it's Slippi 2.2.3

Does this also happen in Direct Mode? I tried to replicate it in Direct and it didn't seem like it occurred. It's probably because (I assume) that the unranked pause (which you have to go through to disconnect) only pauses client side and doesn't trigger initPause->stopRumble for the player that didn't disconnected.

I’ve never experienced this in Direct mode, but I play it much less often.
It’s a little hard to coordinate with someone to repro on unranked, but I definitely experience it sporadically, especially with rage quitters. Your hypothesis does make sense.

I hoped perhaps you might have some debugging tools to make it easier to repro (eg unranked pause in a frame-by-frame sandbox like training mode)

InitPause.asm can be modified to prevent the code from running in debug mode for easier testing.
