Could you please submit a screencast/video with your network tab from firebug/chrome console open while the auto refresh is active, as we cannot reproduce it. Please also include the os/browser version you have.

Excuse me @pentium10, I had busy days.
The OSes are Ubuntu 12.04 and 13.10, the browsers are Firefox and Google Chrome (didn't try on Chromium).
As you see in the screenshots, the XHR requests don't even start.
I have no clue how to check if the auto-refresh is active, so perhaps is my fault. This is my settings window:
Please note I experience this issue with the packagist version as well as with the latest commit (
39a3c15 ).

I think you are confused by what Auto refresh does. You need to be on the tube channel list, and you have the top right corner a refresh button, that you need to toggle. And it becomes green when XHR requests are being performed. It works only for global channel mode, than on these screens you posted.
