In my mailnag.log file I sometimes see a line which might explain my problem, which reads Error: Cannot connect to POP account: pop.gmail.com.
when Mailnag tries to get email from my gmail account. However, this error is very seldom occurring.
The following appears at the beginning of the file:
/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/gobject/constants.py:24: Warning: g_boxed_type_register_static: assertion g_type_from_name (name) == 0' failed
import gobject._gobject`
My mailnag.dat reads as follows:

Thanks. The .dat file looks ok, the connection failure message in the logfile might be a problem though. What mailnag version are you using? Is your gmail account the only account in mailnag?
from mailnag.
No, just my Gmail account. I am using Mailnag 0.4.0.

Please try the latest git snapshot, there was a reconnecting issue that has been fixed. Maybe it also solves your problem.

"Error: Cannot connect to POP account: pop.gmail.com": gmail uses IMAP not POP, please see the wiki for proper gmail configuration.

Ok I missed that. If the error still happens with imap, I will report here.

The problem hasn't occurred again. I will close the issue for now, will reopen in the future if needed.

Ok, thanks for your feedback.
