changed in DayOneExport.js:201:12 to:

"var is = fs.createReadStream(mapfile);
var os = fs.createWriteStream(path.join(that.options.directory, 'photos', entry['UUID'] + '.jpg'));
is.pipe(os);
is.on('end',function() {
fs.unlinkSync(mapfile);
});"

Now it works perfectly.
