Hey @JWCook, I just added you as a maintainer for the project on readthedocs! thanks for all your work!
from pyinaturalist.
@niconoe I'd be open to that idea. Or, without doing a full repo transfer, you could just give me 'Maintainer' access so I could handle merges, releases, and issues.
But first, would you like to chat (say, on Zoom or Discord) to talk about the project a bit? If so, you can email me at [email protected] and we can set something up.

Cool!
I already added you to the collaborators of the project! Don't hesitate to check if you have all the permissions you need or if I need to set another option for the "maintainer" access.
I'll also mail you!

Thanks! Looks like I have the permissions I need. For now, I'm just going to add a dev
branch and start merging some changes there.

I think I have everything I need, so I'm going to close this issue for now. I added issue #27 for deployment-related stuff. I'll follow up if I remember anything else I forgot to ask about.

@niconoe Would you be able to give me access to project settings on readthedocs? My username there is also JWCook.
There seems to be an issue with the readthedocs build. It's probably an easy fix, but I can't reproduce it locally, and I don't have access to the logs on readthedocs.
from pyinaturalist.
Update: I reproduced this by making a temporary readthedocs build from my fork. The issue was just that the readthedocs builder was using an older version of Sphinx; it now requires at least 3.0, and for some reason readthedocs uses 2.x by default. I added a .readthedocs.yml
, and the docs are building correctly now (see PR #39).
It would still be useful to be added to the maintainers for pyinaturalist.readthedocs.io. Thanks!
