Write a on exit method which closes the PynPoint database. about pynpoint HOT 2 CLOSED

There is the atexit function which can run a function on exit, but:

"The functions registered via this module are not called when the program is killed by a signal not handled by Python, when a Python fatal internal error is detected, or when os._exit() is called."

So I don't think that this will necessarily works when PP crashes or it is aborted with ctrl+c.

@majobodo, you mentioned that you tried already a few things?

I don't think that there is an easy way to implement this but I also don't think that this is really needed. I never have the problem that the database becomes corrupt even though I let PP crash a lot... Whenever an error appears when running a processing module (so the database is open) or if I abort in the middle of a processing module with ctrl+c then there is no damage to the database and I can still use it. I will close this issue.
