changing the speeds via the speedometer icon still manipulate the "Alternative Rate Limits" instead of the "Global Rate Limits" as it implied.

I don't understand what that means.

What does the checkbox "Schedule the use of alternative rate limits" actually mean?

Umm the "alternative rate limits" will be used in the time period specified. Unchecking the checkbox while the alternative rate limits are used, does not change to global rate limits.

  1. Click the upload/download "Speedometer" icon on the Status Bar.
  2. Change the value.

Heh no wonder what you said was confusing. This is the speedometer:

@thalieht
I don't really get it. Even with the option "Schedule the use of alternative rate limits" unchecked, changing the speeds via the speedometer icon still manipulate the "Alternative Rate Limits" instead of the "Global Rate Limits" as it implied.

Is it the way it suppose to behave? What does the checkbox "Schedule the use of alternative rate limits" actually mean?

changing the speeds via the speedometer icon still manipulate the "Alternative Rate Limits" instead of the "Global Rate Limits" as it implied.

I don't understand what that means.

What I mean is,

  1. Uncheck "Schedule the use of alternative rate limits"
  2. Click "Save" button.
  3. Click the upload/download "Speedometer" icon on the Status Bar.
  4. Change the value.
  5. Click "Apply" button.
  6. The respective value of the upload/download speed of the "Alternative Rate Limits" is changed.

Umm the "alternative rate limits" will be used in the time period specified. Unchecking the checkbox while the alternative rate limits are used, does not change to global rate limits.

Now I understand what the checkbox means. It enables/disables the scheduled tasks of changing speed.

It is a pretty weird implementation. Let me file a feature request to a more intuitive way.
