a lot of them are truly not working, but the latest updated like rarbg works just fine... you must have something wrong in your settings or your python installation & setup is wrong in some way... check the execution log in qbittorrent after conducting search...

Dear QBT:
I am unable to conduct a search because I cannot install any search
plugins. My settings did not change since the previous version so I'm not
sure what's happening.

- Go to the search tab
- At the bottom right corner click
Search plugins... - Screenshot the dialog and post it here.
Another question: How do you try to install plugins, and from where did you download them?

Don't respond via email to attach the screenshot. It doesn't work. You have to come to the bug report and reply/attach it.

I installed the new version of qbittorrent, re-installed Python 27 (newest version) as x86 and Python 3.5 (newest versions) as 64 and now everything is working again. I'm downloading the *.py files using 'Save Link As' and then installing them from where I saved the link.
In answer to your request though - when I clicked "Search plugins" before I got the search working again, it did nothing so the screenshot would have been a screen with the search window in it only.
I now have a new problem with the program not connecting properly anymore. I'll try to figure that out as well. I get a yellow icon even though my settings are correct. I'm going to check that the DNS values are correct because that is usually the problem when this happens. If you have heard of this problem happening to other with some other resolutions after installing the new version of qbittorrent, then please let me know.

Glad you fixed it.
Just so you know, you only need either python3 or python2. qBittorrent usually defaults to python3 if both are found. To find the exact version it uses, you should look at the log. (View->Log->Show)

Thanks for the info. Some of the programs I use make use of python 2 and others I use make use of python3. I'll check the exact version though because that's still good to know.
