@jonnojohnson GitHub for Windows probably doesn't actually install git on your system in a way that's accessible to your python installation. If you want to install git your best bet may be here: http://git-scm.com/book/en/Getting-Started-Installing-Git#Installing-on-Windows

If you can't get 'pip install' to work on Windows, you can follow the instructions in the "Running from source using git clone" section at the bottom of the sample notebook. We'll likely register the qgrid package on pypi at some point, so pip install can be used without needing git. That won't happen today though because I'm working on some other things.

Installed mysysGit and qgrid seemed to install fine. Thanks.

It looks like there is still no qgrid package on pypi and the only way to install qgrid on windows is after git installation... Maybe it's worth to mention it in readme.md.

@wikiped qgrid is on PyPI: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/qgrid. pip install qgrid
should Just Work ™️ if you have numpy installed.

Thanks, it did work indeed.
For some reason when I was doing pip search qgrid
before installing it the only result I was getting is js.jqgrid
.
