While Gneisschart can stand alone, I'd prefer to keep it in the same repo, for now. I don't want to have to field feature requests here that I'd need to direct to the new repo.
Perhaps once it's a little more developed.
I think keeping it in the same repo for now will also focus Gneisschart on the types of use cases Chartbuilder was made for and make sure it's really good at that before it's expanded into a more general purpose charting library.

That makes a lot of sense, @yanofsky.
Besides the separation of parts, I think there is a real use case to use Gneiss charts independently so there is a good chance you could gain more users (and contributors) by making it more independent. But I don't think its that important at this point.
