Just wanted to add my vote to this patch. I too encountered this problem when upgrading to the latest version of the adapter.

I still support this ticket. But work and testing on the rails 3 is taking precedence. If anyone wants to help speed this up, tested patches for 2-3-stable and master would help.

I should also comment, that we recently made it so that DSN's can be "server" specific which means the :database line in the yaml file is used. Just FYI, if you want to use that dry level as a stop gap till this issue is resolved.

Thanks Erik for pushing the changes up. Fixes are in the 2.3.10 and 3.0.2 release gems. Hopefully we got it right this time :)
