I also inspected both and they are exactly the same.... It makes 0 sense... p.s. I'm using 0.3.2

seems like you have to do User.where(auth_level: [5, 7, 14]).to_a which seems like it's a bug...

How about @users = User.where(auth_level: 7).all?

Just got bit by this too.
Jbuilder expects the collection passed in to be an Enumerable, but an ActiveRelation::Relation isn't an Enumerable until the query is actually executed (due to the lazy loading nature of it).
