My workaround for now is:
- Go to list of previous versions at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/raindropio/versions/
- Click on Download file under "Older Versions - Version 6.6.13" (the most recent previous version)
- Click "Add" when prompted to "Add Raindrop.io?"
- Go to the list of extensions at "Settings and themes"
- Click to view details for Raindrop.io and disable automatic updates
With version pinned at 6.6.13, the hotkey works as expected
from app.
