This is now implemented in #64 using webview state for open table views, saves and reloads table config settings on vscode reload.
As an enhancement to make table config more accessible and editable in plain .json doc, we'll add tabular.data.createTableViewConfig = true | false option and generate <dataFileName>.table.json alongside the actual data file to save and load customized table settings after table views are closed.
