Hi, thanks for asking!
-
I got quite lazy and didn't record the rest, but I have already added 32 currencies (₠₡₢₣₤₥₦₧₨₩₪₫€₭₮₯₰₱₲₳₴₵₶₷₸₹₺₻₼₽₾₿). These symbols are present in the latest release (v0.4). My non-public version also has the Thai Baht symbol ฿.
(side note: i probably won't be uploading Timelapse Type Designing videos because they seem effortless and lazy. i might try to post some actual tutorials soon) -
Are you talking about "styles" like "weights" or "italic"? If you're using a variable font, you have to use it in a program/software which supports variable fonts (more details here and here). If you're using static fonts, there should be a menu to change the weights.
Do you mean "styles" like "stylistic sets" or "character variants"? Most design-oriented software supports OpenType features, so you should be able to find the option to enable them somewhere.
If you have any other questions, please let me know :]

Hello, Thanks for your reply!
1- I was looking for the € symbol. So I need to download the last version v0.4 to get it!
2- I meant stylistic sets. I see I can change them on Illustrator. I was wondering if it was possible to use the font in other programs (Word) with the sets modified.
Let me know, and thanks again!

Only some Microsoft products like Word and Access support OpenType features, but they're very limited. Powerpoint literally has no OT support despite it being a design tool.
On Word (specifically Microsoft Office Word 2021):
Go to File > Info > Compatibility Mode
Compatibility Mode allows you to unlock some OpenType features (including KERNING, the basic necessity) that would be disabled by default.
In the Font section, click on this little button here:
This should open a dialog box. On the top left, click 'Advanced':
Now you can finally use OPENTYPE FEATURES!!!!!
Some open-source alternatives like LibreOffice have very good support for OT features so I recommend checking them out as well.

Thanks a lot!
I found that and it works very well! Thans for the screens ;-)
Do you think it is possible to save it with the stylistic sets number 7 for default? I really love the alternative y for the work I am doing.
cheers!

Designing Overused Grotesk, I mainly focus on the neo-grotesk side of things, and the stylistic sets are just there for... stylistic purposes. SS07 (alt 'y') as well as many other stylistic sets in this typeface (except for alt I
and alt l
) lean towards the geometric side, and making them as The Default would defeat the purpose of a 'neo-grotesk Swiss typeface'.
But I get that it's annoying every time you want to use a stylistic version of the characters. This project is open-source, so you can change a couple of things to your liking (or just ask me to do that if you want). Though, you might need to update it every once in a while since I'm still implementing more features.
(i also don't have the fancy Font Customizer™ that Dinamo has, so it has to be a little more manual)
