Hey mate, is this happening on HEAD:master or something you are working on?
If you are seeing:
Example didn't work at all because of the line p.validate.each { |e| puts e.message }
(undefined method `message' for #Hash:0x007f8dfa269118 (NoMethodError))
Then there are validation errors in the doc.

Either way , I am going to need to change Package#validate as I have obviously broken backwards compatibility.

ok, the validation errors in excel are caused by myself, I will investigate that ;) But the p.validate.each error is happening on master..

I've just reverted my change to Package#validate.
My bad for breaking the backward compatibility. It should now start showing the message when you run example.rb.

re: The Japanese characters in the sheet name:
What language version are you using?

I am going to close this issue and open another specifically for MBCS in sheet names.
