Working on it! They have to be different kernels for the same reason you
need different x64, xvic, x128 binaries. Symbols are linked in rather than
it being a runtime decision. So if you wanted to switch, you would need a
boot loader. But the kernels could all live on the same sdcard partition.

I will definitely look into this when some higher priority items are taken care of (file system write + directories for example). I already tried the 128 and everything compiled/linked but just got a partial green border when I actually ran it. Probably something trivial. In theory, they should all work with a little effort. I'm not sure if I can switch at runtime though. Might have to build a kernel image for each machine type. Not sure yet.

great news Randy!!! ... despite the concrete success of the c64, for me the grandfather vic20 remains fantastic andn ot forgettable , for my world ... without vic20 there is no c64 =) =) =)
I believe that one of the most positive things about BMC64 is the fact that it is a single emulator, which has a fantastic boot, and in addition to many super options, the fact of accessing the necessary files directly in the SD. For this reason it would be great to have the "BMV20" that works the same way. therefore it is not necessary to have all the emulators in the same SD.
waiting for good news about it, I wish you good work, and if you need tests or anything else, I'm available.
