Should typographic ascender/descender be default for fonts with OS/2 table version < 4? about ttf-parser HOT 8 CLOSED

I have no idea. The flag might be set to true by default, or you simply have a malformed font. We have to check other implementations.

Looks like harfbuzz doesn't use Win metrics at all.

Thanks for the patch, but I've decided to implement it myself.

I do not plan on releasing a new version right now. I still have some features I want to finish before the release. So you should either link a git repo directly or wait a bit.
