Hi and sorry for the delay.
The example repo is quite old and unmaintained.
Do you think it would be better if we imported types from @react-navigation/core ?
Not totally sure how usable v4 is regarding web support currently, don't know any who is using v4 for web. Also, v5 is a rewrite and web support has not started yet.
IMHO RNav is not yet the perfect abstraction to have web support, you'd better have a platform-dependent router for now if you want to build something robust. I maintain this: https://github.com/slorber/gatsby-plugin-react-native-web but you can also use Next, CRA, Expo web with ReactRouter...

I guess I was just under the impression that there was web support throughout RNav but that doesn't seem to be the case. I'll check back when v5 is out.

Web support has always been a bit fragile. There was in v1, it broke in v2, was back in v3/v4 and got a few demos (not even sure it still works with latest v4). v5 is a rewrite for which web support has to be rewritten too. So yeah you'd rather not use it for a production app imho :)
