In my opinion, it should also include a section on
- Forwarding logs externally, and disabling Elasticsearch and Logstash.

Forwarding Logs is covered in Operationalizing [0]. Disabling Elasticsearch & Kibana is a matter of oc scale --replicas=0 ...
. Perhaps just a reference is enough.

@lpsantil @bioxcession We cover forwarding logs to Splunk in the reference @lpsantil passed along. However, we do not provide an indepth guide into forward logs to an external Elasticsearch as the OpenShift documentation covers this use case.
One area we do not cover is how to leverage the fluentd component of OpenShift without Elasticsearch or Kibana and the steps needed to disable forwarding logs to the in cluster Elasticsearch.
