It appears you are trying to listen on port 80 (which needs root access). You can either switch the port to some port other than 80 or use "sudo node server.js"

Yeah, or just pass the port number in as an argument:
node server.js 8000
Obviously when it's in production it needs to default to port 80.

Wow didn't know about that option. It does work perfectly! I changed the port from within the code as show here but passing port as param seems to be much better. Cheers!!!!
