Thank you for the report. Most probably you are experiencing QTBUG-18807 or something like that.
- Which spin of Mint are you using (GNOME / LXDE / Debian Edition / etc)?
- What version of ReText do you use? There were some changes in icon theme handling in 3.0.4.
I will try to fix that, but as a workaround you can add "iconTheme=YOURICONTHEME
" line to the [configuration file](/p/retext/wiki/Configuration file). YOURICONTHEME
should be "Mint-X
" on Mint.

Well, since you used "apt-get install retext
", you are probably using 2.1.4 or 2.1.5 version. Can you please add my PPA and upgrade it to 3.0.4?
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mitya57
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install retext
I believe this should fix your problem.

I do what you suggest, and update to retext/precise uptodate 3.0.4-1~ppa1,
but still the same.

Thanks!
But I still don't know what spin of Mint you are using (there are 2 versions of Ubuntu-based Mint, 2 versions of LMDE and even some more custom builds).

OK, I'll now download it and test. For now, you can use a workaround that I've suggested in comment 1.

Thank you for the report, this is now fixed in ReText 3.1.0 and in 3.0.x Git branch. I'll push an update to my PPA now.
