Implement date range filtering about gbif-alert HOT 6 CLOSED

Ah, that's interesting. I was thinking of a drawbar with two endpoints (start date end date) as GBIF does.
If histograms are shown on top of it can help the date selection but it's a plus, I would say, it's not mandatory.

For the frontend, I'm thinking of a component that allows to select a start and end date, but also show the number of occurrences per period (months? weeks?), something like:

Update: the first implementation of the date range selector has some technical issues. Should be improved soon so it canbe part of v1.

Update: there's now a functional date range selector. It should probably be polished a bit more, but I suggest discussing that in specific issues.
