@RJP43 @spadafour @brookestewart
As a follow up to my last comment: I honestly don't feel that comfortable with coding up the grammar parts that I know are important in the articles. It's not that I'm not capable of doing it, it's just that I'd like to work with either Becca or Rob on how to do it correctly the first time rather than having someone have to go fix everything I did. Could we kind of have a coding session one evening during ILiADS, @RJP43??
Also, I would really like to transcribe another article, which one should I do????

Can't wait to see @nlottig94 tonight for our code-athon ... Also you can work on starting the article assigned to @brookestewart unless she is working on it already. We can discuss this further tonight.

@nlottig94 @brookestewart @spadafour
When doing grammatical markup open the code book to Rule No. 3 and go to find & replace window. Search each of the words in the last two columns of the above chart. For each word you need to check just the word, the word with spaces before and after, the word with comma after, the word with period after, the word with capital first letter, and the word with lowercase letter. So for example for HER search her her Her Her her. her. Her. Her. her, her, Her, Her, Although some of these seem unrealistic and unlikely it is worth checking all possible options... of course you can use regex to make it so you only need one or two searches or un-check the case sensitive box and just beware of the spaces before and after.

In addition to the words in the final two columns of the above chart we also check for the apostrophe s 's and the s apostrophe s'.

The <phr> surrounds the two words and any words that come between the possessive adj/noun and the noun being possessed. The <seg> is more of a judgement call with purpose to grab as much of the text needed for the <phr> to be understood in context.

I get this markup is difficult and kind of wonky, so feel free to ask questions and leave comment tags. Thanks everyone!
