Hey there. Thanks for your feedback. This is most certainly very interesting and could be super useful. I haven't thought about it so far as I use SCSS and that allows me to put simple @if statements into it. I have a similar solution for JS since I am using requireJS and that allows pragmas that can be removed when compiled.
Generally I am not opposed to your suggestions. I have to consider a few more things before I can tell whether or not it is out of scope. Of the top of my head that might be possible. Alternatively I would be open to create other plugins, based on grunt-bake.
Let me get back to you on that.

Hi. I'm trying to loop back to older tickets and see if they are still relevant. I think I will close this, as I have not spent any more time on this. Additionally, I am leaning more towards it being out of scope. I think there might be a use case for it, but it should most likely be built in a separate plugin.
