I believe the only possible solution is to add the static library to your repo and then add it similar to this example, but then everybody has to trust you that the library is valid.

Fixed in bb65856.
@angrauel I added OpenSSL as a subspec. That way you can exclude it and add you own OpenSSL build in your Podfile.
