That was going to be my next place to look. Glad you figured it out!

Thanks for the help - never would've figured it out on my own!

I've also verified via tcpdump that the monitor interface is seeing traffic as it should

Hi @thetechgy! There is an issue with the reverse proxy not knowing how to handle some of the API calls from Kibana. The temporary solution is to disable lighttpd and open up the Kibana port 5601 on the firewall while we work on a fix.

@webhead404

I disabled the lighttpd and firewalld services to test and can't seem to connect on 5601 despite the fact that the server appears to be listening on that port

Remember it won't be over TLS anymore since the reverse proxy was doing that for you. Did you try it over http?

I tried both and neither load - the browser displays ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED despite running sudo systemctl stop firewalld

Are you running this in a VM?

No, physical machine that was running 2.5.0 a while back. Ran hardware diagnostics and then used the rocknsm-20211126-08:00:35.iso for install

@webhead404 figured it out - modified /etc/kibana/kibana.yml to add server.host and set the value to the private IP - it was only listening on localhost, probably because of the reverse proxy
