That's very weird because none of these are used... (java?!)
I just checked on a Win XP SP2, non-development machine, and these 4 DLLs
appear to
be part of the Java Runtime Environment (I see them in \jre1.6.0_07\)
I renamed away these directories, and gfxcfg ran without problem...
I checked with "Process Explorer" to see which DLLs were used, and the only
non-stock
are:
SDL.dll
SDL_image.dll
libpng13.dll (to load PNG files)
zlib.dll (Zip compression, used by libPNG)
I get the same result when I run the svn286 version that I compiled myself on
Windows
(98...), and the 97.0% version that was cross-compiled by Pulkomandy, from a
machine
running Linux.

- Changed title: gfxcfg.exe needs java dlls to run ?!
from grafx2.
Rats! I've just run Dependency Walker and it seems that SDL_image.dll needs
JPEG.dll, which is found in stupid Oracle's directory! That jpeg.dll needs
java.dll,
jvm.dll and verify.dll. False alarm then! :-) At least on this computer...
Then again, my problem still remains. I've just run gfxcfg.exe from svn286 and
it
complains that I don't have libpng13.dll. The main program, grafx2.exe, works
just
fine. I don't -at this moment- have time to check it out thoroughly, so I'll
check
it in the next couple of days and let you know of my findings.
Thank you very much! :-)

Looks like something strange with your SDL_image.dll... noone complained about
that.
Can you check you don't have another version of SDL_image.dll elsewhere ?

Hi pulkomandy,
I've just checked and no other SDL_image.dll exists in my system. I'm using the
SDL_image.dll from the installation files. I actually downloaded both versions
(b97
and svn286) again a few moments ago. As you already know, they have different
versions of this dll. gfxcfg.exe from b97 complains about not finding jvm.dll
and
gfxcfg.exe from svn286 complains about not finding libpng13.dll.
Anyway, since no other complained about that, perhaps you should just ignore it
for
the moment. The main programs works just fine. I certainly hope it's not a case
of
PEBKAC on my part! :-D
Let me know whether I can help you to track this down.

The version r366 ships with DLLs straight from the public "end-user" packages
for all
libraries. Maybe it can help.

Hello yrizoud,
I've just downloaded and tried both (Windows) versions:
grafx2.00b97.0-win32.zip and
grafx2-svn366-win32.zip.
Both main EXEs (grafx2.exe) run just fine (I haven't tried every function
though).
The gfxcfg.exe from svn366 also runs just fine, whereas the one from b97 still
complains about a missing jpeg.dll. I copied an old jpeg.dll (year 1994) and it
complained about missing libpng13.dll. I also copied an old (year 1994)
libpng13.dll
and it run just fine. Strange...

Ok, thanks for helping us to sort it out :)
Issue fixed. Please use the latest svn build (as of today) as it fixes many
small
bugs and does not breaks anything.
