Should add option SUBTITLE about tvhclient HOT 8 CLOSED

Hi, do you mean the short summary instead of the long description? This is already available.
See the chapter "eventAdd (Added in version 6)" in https://tvheadend.org/projects/tvheadend/wiki/Htsp.
There you see the available information that can be displayed.

Hmmm i dont know. In tvheadend webgui this is named Subtittle. Maybe it is summary-short description. I dont know if it contains SUBTITLE ?
Good option is also add "ageRating" :)

There are a lot more fields available that can be shown. But this would clutter the screen and has imho no real benefit for the user.

No subtitle is a very big disadvantage. As I'm looking for the show do not know what is subtitled and the title all the time is the same. Only the subtitle changes in series. Maybe adding that as I click on the title only develop a submenu showing such subtitle.

Also I think this field can be usefull considering some Series having as a title all the same name and only distinguish by Subtitle the Episode (Current, Finished & Failed Recordings). Also in Series Recording the Name field is used by me for grouping the different Series Recordings.

Added in the latest 1.8.0 beta. It will only be shown in the recording
lists when it actually contains something.
