Hmm, interesting. The diff code is barfing on describe the Git submodules denoted by these gitlink tree entries (from git ls-tree -r 99d92d88):

Should be fairly easy to fix the diff code to be aware of submodules. I'm heading off to bed soon though - I'm supposed to be on holiday! I'll take a look tomorrow.
