Don't hash the :name part, instead use it like this:
Git.clone('https://github.com/opsb/ruby-git.git', 'name', :path => '/tmp/checkout1')

right, but still the Readme is wrong and I've lost few hours before finding this! and 1 year has passed. Do you need a pull request to fix that?
