Apologies for the delay in responding - been on holiday.

The use of PHP is indeed because of hosting limitations. I like the idea of
moving to Node though. Hmm...

OMG — just realised this never got sorted :/.

I've moved simpl.info to GitHub Pages, so not sure how to get this working. (EventSource needs a URL on the same origin, right?)

I think with { withCredentials: true } CORS should work fine with the right headers.

@samdutton Yes was reading the spec, but see this table.

Reportedly, CORS in EventSource is currently supported in Firefox 10+, Opera 12+, Chrome 26+, Safari 7.0+.
