It appears that the issue actually relates to the LastPass browser extension which is refreshing the page. When I disable the extension the page behaves as expected. Would be great to get the web interface working with the LastPass extension but the issue does not relate to browser compatibility. I am closing the issue on this basis.

A note for other users facing the issue with the LastPass extension refreshing the page. You can resolve this by editing the LastPass Vault entry for the page and select the "Disable Autofill" or "Never Autofill" option.
