ok I made some progress, I added yum update php -y to my Dockerfile RUN command and now I have 8.0.27 however still missing 8.0.28, with that said, huge jump from 8.0.20
from s2i-php-container.

Hi @olstjos , I am not sure what version of the image you are insterested in, but ubi8/php-80 has been recently updated and has 8.0.27 now. ubi9/php-80 is still on 8.0.20, but I expect it will get updated soon as well, as this is usually the case.
If you want any newer version, I am afraid we cannot help you as RHEL-based container images only consume what is available in RHEL. If this is important to you please create a request in Bugzilla.
