Unable to download with hosts-bl about hosts-bl HOT 1 CLOSED

hosts-bl does not currently come with internal networking/download capabilities. hosts-bl currently strictly works on local files, so inserting a URL for the source file will not work. You must currently only supply local paths for source files.

That being said, I have been working on an in-house downloader package that I have integrated into various of my private projects, but have not yet integrated it into any public projects yet as it is still rather new and lacks any significant public testing. As I try to keep a heavy focus on security for all of the applications and scripts I develop, there are many considerations to take into account when implementing a process to connect to the Internet and download something. As I am sure many of us are already aware, there are already far too many "dirty" apps and Python projects, etc., out there that claim to download things, and indeed do, but yet we still find them connecting to various third-parties for unknown agendas. Many of such apps indeed may have started off with good intentions, but ended up being taken over or bought out by nefarious parties in order to exploit their success or otherwise popularity in order to embed hidden agendas into once "trusted" software. So I have a strong aversion to including third-party projects into any of my work, with some exceptions, and focus strongly on security, resiliency, and usability.
