mysqldump failed about phpbu HOT 7 CLOSED

what version of PHP are you using?

It looks like in your case mysqldump is not exiting with exit code 0.
So the wasSuccessful method returns false.

/**
 * Command executed successful.
 */
public function wasSuccessful()
{
    return $this->code == 0;
}

If you execute the command manually, do you get a warning?

Try running this:

/usr/bin/mysqldump --user='root' --password='xxx' --all-databases /root/backup/mysql/mysqldump-20160119-1901.sql

This way you won't redirect the stdErr to /dev/null

You could also change the phpbu configuration to show stdErr output

  <option name="showStdErr" value="true" />
